“I fully agree that the war needs to end, but the policy since the beginning of the administration has been to put pressure on Ukraine, as the victim, rather than on Russia, as the aggressor. And peace at any cost is not peace at all, it’s appeasement. And we all know from history that appeasing aggressors only leads to more war.”

Wednesday evening (5/21) we headed to the Fish Market in Baxter Village to have our anniversary dinner:

Traffic during the last half a mile to the restaurant was unbelievably bad, but it was so worth it. We started off with a hot crab appetizer:

then she crab soup for the both of us:

following by Chilean Sea Bass for my honey:

and scallops over risotto for me:

It was an incredible and romantic dinner and we had lots of things to talk about! I am loving this month long celebration thing!

Thursday (5/22) was all about quilting…and once again…I thought I would be able to finish the remaining 5 blocks for the baby quilt…and once again I WAS WRONG! Oh well…there’s always next week! We had lovely show and tell...as usual:

I had hoped to sew when I got home (it’s been a long time since I’ve done any sewing), but it wasn’t to be…I was very tired and just read my library book until my honey got home from golfing around 4:30. Of course we had our leftovers from the Fish Market for dinner and settled in to great TV.
Two EXCELLENT recommendations from NETFLIX: THE RESIDENCE – an 8 episode who-dun-it set in the White House. So many interesting tidbits of info on the White House along with a great mystery. And, THE FOUR SEASONS, an 8 episode updating of the Alan Alda movie from 40 years ago…..
And another SC DMV story from one of my readers:
SC dmv did not send us a renewal of registration for our cars. When we went to the tax office, they told us that hubby's car, the one we drove there, was sold. They are so screwed up! I paid mine 1st and was charged 3% without being told. When I questioned it, she just looked at me like I had 2 heads. I pulled out a check for hubby's. SC dmv does not like to share any information. It sucks!

Michael and I both had errands on Friday (5/23), but we both ended up at home at 1 PM and decided to tackle something else that we knew would be bad. Our Comporium bundling is coming to an end and we needed to decide what to do for our TV viewing. We have a wonderful representative that I have spoken with several times this week (thank goodness as when I called Customer Support as she initially suggested since she knew she would be out in the field for several days this week….I got NO HELP what-so-ever from the youngster that answered!) Anyway, it looks like YOUTUBETV is the way we’re going to go….and thus we spent 1-1/2 hours trying to sign on/sign up for that! I’m going to say this right now….it’s official…..we are now too stupid/old to watch TV!
Is there anyone local that has YOUTUBETV? Maybe you can help us navigate….since we finally think we have signed up…but that’s about it!
By then it was 2:30 and Michael still had some errands to run, so he took off for more parts unknown and I headed to the studio, to do just a bit of work for the first time in over a week I think!
Guess who arrived around 4:30:

Janice is here until Wednesday….Dennis is flying out Saturday morning to spend a long weekend of father/daughter time with Michelle in Colorado! Janice and I are going to try to knock out 3 quilts while she’s here.
We had chicken sausage with spinach and feta over pasta for dinner and just relaxed in the evening…with Dennis going to bed a bit early as he is going to be at the airport at 5 AM!!!!!
And 10 years ago.....
*** If you could walk a mile in my shoes...you'd still end up back in the sewing room. ***
*** I said ''I don't ever want to be kept alive, dependent on a machine....and fluids from a bottle''. He got up, unplugged my Bernina...and poured out all of my wine!!! ***
We have YouTube tv and love it, wecando a video call if you don’t get a local to show you
What a fabulous pic of you two !
Breakfast for supper is ALWAYS a good idea!
