Most of Wednesday (5/18) went by in a flash…Michael left for golf at 8:30 AM, just as I sat down to SKYPE with Janice. We finished up at 10 and I headed out the door to my diabetes session.
My coach was over the moon about my 6.2 A1c….in only 8 weeks…and my weight loss is now 20 pounds…and he was thrilled with that as well. We talked over a lot of things…and I got a new supplement and I can also eat Greek yoghurt now. I think wheat and pasta and bread and stuff like that is still far off in the future.
I got home around 1:30 and set out baking supplies and settled in to read for a bit. My honey was home shortly afterwards….VERY affected by the heat…he made a bowl of yoghurt/banana/fruit and settled in the media room with his feet up. He really was exhausted and thought part of it was due to playing so late on Monday.
I baked up some chocolate chip cookies (my honey's favorite):
and some mini-cupcakes:
I’ve had a recipe for a quick, 9’’ chocolate cake open in my KINDLE browser forever that I wanted to try….and I’m auditioning frostings for my birthday cake later in the year (Inez, I had frozen some lady locks filling, so I used that for frosting)…so that’s why I was baking:
I packed them up to take to quilting on Thursday).
I ran to HABIT BURGER to get dinner for Michael…and picked up the green beans for me. I spent most of the rest of the evening finishing the bottom half of the ‘’blues’’ quilt…getting the blocks sewn into rows:
And getting the 2nd men's quilt trimmed:
However, I could not add it to the to-be-bound pile, as someone was sleeping there:
*** I thought as an adult I wouldn’t need to sing the Alphabet Song when alphabetizing…but yet…here we are. ***
