We got to sleep in a little Sunday morning (10/15), which was good since Freya got me up once again at 3:58 AM to go out and pee and poop! We’ve got to get her on a different schedule :~).
My honey made me breakfast and brought it down to the studio where I was figuring out how much batting and backing to cut to quilt 2 of my own quilts….YAY!!! Yes, I still have customers on my waiting list, but they can’t get their quilts to me just yet…..so I am working on some of my own. I loaded up the last of my light gray 108’’ wide backing….so I’ve got to put that on my list for the February Foust sale. Then I got batting cut and basted my first quilt:
I dropped back to a perennial favorite, diagonal plaid, for the quilting design and wound 5 bobbins and kicked it off:
In the meantime I started to sew together my FPF QoV:
The last 2 quilts I did had VERY slow stitch outs….but diagonal plaid went by in a flash…and by dinnertime…it was done:
This is only a bad thing because I am hosting Fiber Nutz on Tuesday and they want to see XENA in action, so I've gotta get another quilt loaded up.
Michael and I binge watched the last 4 episodes of UNFORGOTTEN in the evening…..PBS really does have incredible programming.

I like the blue thread you picked for quilting the chandelier...
I never get tired of the chandelier quilts!
What a cool QoV quilt pattern!
Blue chandelier is lovely !!
