I had a GREAT night’s sleep Friday night….and felt really good Saturday morning (6/18)…I got a great picture from daughter-in-law of the 3 generations together:
I started to work on the border for my squiggle quilt, but once again, got a signal on my phone that I had a text….but no text appeared :~(. That led to over an hour on the phone…with AT&T and SAMSUNG trying to figure out the problem…with no resolution in sight :~(. I think our house is just a dead zone....So….I can only say…if you text me…and you don’t hear from me….I didn’t get your text!!! Try again!
After that it was back to my border, which was finally done by 3 PM:
This quilt turned out MUCH larger than my last squiggle....I'm thinking the last squiggle was 3'' finished HST's...while this one is 4'' finished....so I'm not putting a colored border on....I will just bind in a dark blue. Not sure whether or not I'll go back to smaller HST's....will have to see if it uses up a width-of-fabric strip effectively. Of course...my faithful companion is always with me:
I have enough blue batik fabric to do a 4th quilt….but I had to figure out the pattern first….that took me awhile, but finally I think I have written down what I need, and I started to cut it out. I ended up vegging in the evening and watching YOU’VE GOT MAIL and WHEN HARRY MET SALLY.
