*** I'm going to need Elon Musk to send me a list of 5 reasons why his rocket (subsidized by government funds) exploded for the 8th time! ***

************************************************

Sally picked me up at 8 AM on Friday (3/7) and we headed out to breakfast at FAMOUS TOASTERY, with both of us bringing home half of our orders....somehow I only got a picture of mine which was a YUMMY skillet breakfast!

I had time to change my clothes and put on a bit of make-up before Joyce picked me up and we headed to Pineville for a celebration of life service for the husband of my friend Barb.  Al has been in a bit of declining health for several years, but took a turn for the worse in December/January and after many days in the hospital and a few days on hospice, is now at peace.  Barb’s entire family was there and it was wonderful to meet many of them….including the cutest and quietest baby you ever saw.

When I got home, I changed again and made red enchilada sauce (Leila, first time in AGES AND AGES!!!!) and by then my honey was home and helped me to put together a pan of enchilada lasagna:

I had a bit of time after that to spend in the studio….pulling out fabric for a:

before changing clothes once again, making a salad

and pulling our table together:

before welcoming our guests for the evening:

-Diane & Kay

-guess who?

-Pete

-Mark

We had a good time talking, and everyone loved the casserole:

after which we played a couple of rounds of FIVE CROWNS.  We stopped around 8:30 PM for pieces of Diane’s delicious and divine flourless chocolate cake…..HEAVEN!

My honey was up and out early for golf on Saturday (3/8).  Iris and I were supposed to get together, but she has a bad cold and I appreciated her not wanting to share it with me :~).

I spent the day continuing to work on my:

and I got the backing loaded on a customer quilt before heading out with my honey to Fort Mill Community Theatre for a performance of LET”S MURDER MARSHA.

Michael and I were in this play at SCCL about 17 years ago, and it was fun to see what Fort Mill did with it.  We were home after 10 PM, and stayed up FAR TOO LATE reading before finally going to bed!

AND....in other news.......someone picked up their new car!!!!!!

In case you don't remember, that is friend Janice's hubby Dennis!

*****************************************

Of course we got up late on Sunday (3/9), and being the shortest day of the year (literally since it’s only 23 hours long), it went by in a flash!

I worked on my:

but also got a customer quilt loaded up:

and got the quilting started:

Nancy came by in the afternoon and we spent several hours laughing and having an absolutely wonderful time!

I did reclaim some backing fabric and got binding strips cut for that rainbow Beds=Dreams quilt I just finished.

Michael and I had leftover Enchilada Lasagna for dinner and settled in with popcorn for a date night viewing of MOONSTRUCK!

And 10 years ago....
