Current US COVID related deaths: 794,864
US COVID deaths as of yesterday: 793,651
According to CNN:With just a few days to go before Thanksgiving, Covid-19 cases are on the rise across the US. The daily case rate is about half of what it was at this time last year, according to data from Johns Hopkins University, but the current pace -- about 92,000 new cases each day -- is up 16% from just a week ago. The picture is even worse for children, with new cases up 32% from two weeks ago, according to new numbers published by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

I was moving v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y on Monday morning (11/22) and felt like I had been run over by a truck. I have no idea why I had such a miserable night of sleep (I should really say almost no sleep!)….I took 2 Aleve’s around 9 PM…so I wasn’t in pain or anything…just long, long periods of time when I was awake :~(.
Michael (optimistically) left for golf just after 9 AM. I say optimistically because it rained a lot overnight, plus I can’t believe he will have that much energy after 4 performances over the weekend.
My blog was finally out by 10:30 and I was starving…so I headed upstairs for some breakfast after which I continued to clean up the kitchen from the party. After that I got my homemade dog food in the crockpot before I left for my massage. I told Brianna that my legs and feet were killing me after being on them so much yesterday…and she did a magnificent job of making them feel better. I was home in time to meet my honey…just home from golfing. He said they got rained on a lot, and he was very tired, but he still had a good time with Phil and got through all 18 holes. I thought I was tired, but after I ate some grapes I had some energy, so while Michael was napping, I headed to the studio to continue working on the back for my Bento Box:
and finally got it half loaded:
before a dinner of leftovers and sleeping…I mean watching TV.
I don’t think I ever posted a picture of Michael’s cast gifts. We were desperately searching for an idea, and when Janice and Dennis were here I told her about some of the things we had done in the past. She read part of the script…and Michael had a huge monologue about leaves and she had several suggestions. Michael ended up making notecards with fall leaves on them:
They were a hit...thanks Janice, for such a perfect suggestion!!!
And after over a year (I think) of her stuff being in storage in Salem, MA, Mary Lee's furniture was delievered to her new home in North Carolina over the weekend. She sent me pictures of her red chairs on the porch...and the view she has from her porch....AWESOME!!
For those of you who are local…if you missed ALL THINGS GREAT AND SMALL on PBS the first time around….set you recording devices for Thanksgiving Day, Comporium channel 113, starting at 1 PM. They’re showing all of the episodes (I think there are 6). Don’t forget to say reruns if you want to get them….this is a TERRIFIC series….don’t miss it!
*** All these people training for marathons and I’m over here on the couch trying to lasso the remote with my phone charger. ***
Enjoy your new home Mary Lee!!
Mary Lee's new place looks beautiful!! So picturesque! Wish her all the best for me...
