President Donald Trump on Friday said not to “feel so sorry” for former President Joe Biden, who announced a cancer diagnosis earlier this month, and criticized Biden as “vicious”—just over a week after Trump and other Republicans suggested Biden may have hidden his illness from the public.

What an absolutely miserable excuse for a human being.

I had a hearing aid appointment Friday morning (5/30) and when I got back, my honey took off on errands while I headed to the studio to continue to quilt on my KINDRED PINWHEEL quilt.
I worked on that all day, along with continuing to catalogue fabric and by dinnertime, the quilting was done:

Someone asked me about cataloguing the fabric. My honey bought me more 3’’ by 5’’ notecards, and I cut a piece of fabric and staple it to the notecards (alternating sides), then indicate how much of the fabric I have, and then indicate what drawer it is hiding in. I started putting it in drawers to keep it out of the light when I was still in Connecticut to prevent fading. And it is much easier to sort my cards and find fabric I want than sorting through my big pieces of fabric…anyway…here’s an example of my cards:

and the Longaberger basket I keep them in:

I used to be able to shop with my entire stash….regrettably, since I started buying batiks from Corinne, I can’t do that anymore…but the batiks make me SO HAPPY!

I can’t believe it was 60 degrees outside when I got up on Saturday (5/31)…is it always this cold at the end of May? I know I’ll probably regret saying that soon enough!
Anyway, I headed to the studio to get the Kindred Pinwheel off of the frame:

as I’m doing intake on another customer quilt this morning.
I also worked on the disappearing hourglass…and just have 2 more seams to go….YAY!!! I will be VERY GLAD to see the back of this one….although I think the pattern is looking a bit better as I actually sew it together….but I will definitely NOT be doing another!
Michael wanted to have another kitchen session, so we put together an éclair cake in the afternoon:

-look at the concentration (or something!) on that face!

Speaking of desserts....I keep forgetting to tell you all about this one:

So....Janice makes a wickedly good Bailey's Mousse as a dessert....but for at least a year, every time she brings it up, she talks about how she would like to try it with Limoncello.....so, when she and Dennis were here visiting, I finally surprised her and made it...and we all loved it! That got my honey thinking...he likes Peach Schnapps, and wondered how that would work in the dessert, so I tried it for our anniversary. We liked it, but felt the taste was a bit too mild to do it again.
And Michael found the perfect flatbread at ALDI’s, so it was pizzas for dinner:

I settled myself in the studio Sunday morning (6/1) determined to get a yucky finish out of the way…..voila:

It took all day (there was still lots of procrastination and maybe a little cursing too, especially when I was pressing the seams open!), but I think it looks dramatically better sewn together.
Susie, here’s a challenge for you….I made one mistake in cutting one block to make this, but decided that it was fairly subtle, so continued on ahead. If you can identify where the mistake is….you will win a prize….one I KNOW you will like!
Iris stopped by for a visit in the afternoon and we had a lovely time talking as we haven’t seen each other in several weeks. We think we are going to start working on a quilting project together….stay tuned. And I also started to sew together the quilt Janice laid out for me while she was here:

It will definitely be a challenge to see if I can get this all sewn correctly with NO RIPPING :~).
My honey and I had chef’s salads for dinner, then played CRIBBAGE before settling in with season 3 of RESIDENT ALIEN.
And, after several years of no sightings, suddenly 2 sightings in 1 day!!

And 10 years ago....

Absolutely love the Kindred Pinwheel quilt! The eclair cake , the mousse, and the pizza look pretty great too! Would you share the recipe for the eclair cake?
Limoncello Mousse …brilliant!
What’s the quilting pattern called on Kindred pinwheels
That mistake blends in beautifully, you shouldn’t have mentioned it, but isn’t that something we all do…..
Yes, the deer are out in numbers and very bold around here...munched ALL the flowers and buds off a beautiful day lily IN THE FRONT YARD by the road. 😒
