Cinnamon bread, Freya

Michael was up and out on Saturday (12/2) for golf before 9 AM, and I spent another day in the kitchen. First up was making regular bread….and then cinnamon bread (because I haven’t made any for Michael in forever!):

Then I did 2 runs of pecans…because our handyman tasted them when he was here last and wanted to buy some…and then finally some cracker toffee…that I tried to use the original chocolate on (because June also bought dark chocolate and said she didn't have any trouble melting hers)…not only would it NOT melt…but it didn’t stay attached either….so I’m gonna have to re-do that :~(.

I was just finishing up when my honey came home before 3 PM, and I read my book for just a bit before heading downstairs. I got the last 2 seams done on the QoV that has been on my design wall FOREVER!!! Pictures when I finally get it pressed.

And BG sent me a picture of day #2 advent gift:

Michael and I had decided it was going to be date night….we watched LOVE ACTUALLY, and tried out a new champagne. As much as we absolutely LOVE our Ballatore Asti….it has become increasingly difficult and frustrating to open (due to nothing more than arthritis!!!). When I was trying to clean out the fridge several weeks ago…there were 3 bottles of white wine in there, and I asked Michael to take care of them. One only had a glass full…the other had a bit more and the 3rd was unopened. I ended up drinking the unopened one…and it was FABULOUS!!! Turns out, it was a gift from friend Susan…and I felt it could easily replace our Asti…and it just has a regular cork wine top. Michael wanted to do a taste test, so last night we opened the old Asti and a new bottle of the wine Susan gave us. They definitely taste different…..Susan’s is sweeter, so I knew Michael would like it. I like the old Asti…but the trials of getting those bottles open are SO NOT WORTH IT…..so, we’re going to switch our ‘’champagne and puffy things’’ bottles to the new wine.

More gratuitous puppy pics:

I made up all my chocolate into Bark. I had no problems. Sorry for your problems. Maybe you didn't hold your tongue right??😐 Freya looks suspicious in those pics as if she is in the doghouse.

So can you return this chocolate that you can’t get to melt, or complain and get your money back????
