We slept in Sunday morning (8/13) and just had a lazy morning reading the paper and eating breakfast. In the early afternoon I headed to the studio to load up my customer quilt:
and kick off the quilting:
I love the swirly heart pattern she picked and think it looks beautiful on her quilt.
My honey brought me down a snack in the late afternoon:
a yummy peach...and a bit of protein to help with my blood sugar...and I continued to quilt along. Around 6:30 PM, I was tired and tried to save my design….but my computer was acting totally weird….so my choices were, leave my machine on all night….or finish the quilting. Finally, at 8:30, I headed upstairs after the quilting was done. I was very tired and knit very little before heading for bed.

Michael was up and out Monday morning (8/14) for golf, while I relaxed in the living room, reading a library book. I was totally shocked to get a call from the shelter….we are driving back on Wednesday to hopefully come home with a new addition to the family!!! I was shocked to get the call, because they are closed Monday and Tuesday….but I was thrilled to hear from them. Michael only played 7 holes of golf as it was WAY TOO HOT!!!
I got my customer quilt all cleaned up (basting ripped out and bobbin ends woven in), off of the frame:
and trimmed, and managed to correctly load the backing for my next customer quilt! We made a quick trip to the pet store (supplies for new puppy) and the bird store (more bird seed) in the late afternoon.
We made pizza’s for dinner:
and watched the next episode of BLACK SNOW….I am totally intrigued by this TV show :~).
*** I like to refer to myself as a free spirit….because it sounds classier than out-of-control wingnut! ***
Love this! You should send the picture and review to Creative Stitches for points - I do this when I think of it!
New puppy is out there!!!!
Love that customer quilt & the beautiful quilting pattern…so sweet with the hearts.
Hopeful wishes for the puppy adoption!
Very pretty, feminine quilt.
Hope the kitties are welcoming to the new family member. Perhaps they will show her how to get on top of the refrigerator!🤣
Love your customer's quilt! It looks so light and airy; very summery. The quilt pattern is beautiful with the fabric. I love all of those little squares. Great looking pizzas!!! Good luck on your journey tomorrow to pick up your new addition.😍
