Michael and I were both up early again on Saturday (11/26). He had a 9 AM tee time, while I wanted to get more candy made…but first…while he was having breakfast, I got a quick, small quilt basted onto XENA:
I made an egg sandwich for breakfast for myself before starting to dip oreos:
I decided I needed something easy after yesterday’s White Trash :~). While the cookies were setting up after being dipped, I continued to work on binding:
I've gotta get 2 more quilts bound before I can do the caramel popcorn, as I need the entire kitchen table for that! I was finishing up just as my honey got home around 2 PM. Cookie and I hopped in the cart with him, and we drove up to Harris Teeter to return the MINION movie. Of course, when dad hopped out of the cart to go to the RED BOX, Cookie did her usual, hysterical barking…which of course caught the attention of everyone in a half mile radius because she sounds like she is being tortured! We finally made it home, and Michael was relatively happy with his score of 85, despite 2 – 3 horrendous holes.
I went to the studio, created a program, wound bobbins and got to quilting on the striped quilt:
Michael came down eventually, which meant everyone joined us downstairs (the kitties were hiding):
I kept stitching away, and by dinnertime, it was done:
I love this quilt....I think it looks really cheery! Michael and I had leftovers for dinner, played over an hour of SCRABBLE (he won) and settled in for a bit of TV before bed. I did manage to stitch down a label while we were watching, so another TOTALLY FINISHED QUILT (please note the feet under the quilt...Michael feels he never gets credit for holding up these things :~):
