Michael dropped off a lasagna casserole on Tuesday (7/20) to our neighbors (who’ve been struggling with a shoulder injury for weeks), before having breakfast and heading off to the grocery store. I felt bad that I couldn’t get any food over there earlier, but her injury happened right around my own surgery. I need to get a few more ‘’give away’’ casseroles in the freezer!

I got my blog out and my emails read before starting the clean up the latest customer quilt. Lucy & Ether were riveted most of the morning:

by 3 squirrels playing on the patio. Once again they tried to get food out of the bird feeder, with no success. If you look at the feeding holes while the squirrel is hanging on it, you can see they are silver because that comes down and blocks the feeding holes when there's too much weight on it. At the end of the video I show them again, and they are dark/open:

I didn’t get a lot done before leaving for FIBER NUTZ in the afternoon:

As always it was a wonderful time and I came home with a big smile on my face.

I wasn’t sure there was enough tettrazini for our dinner, so I made a tomato pie to go along with it:

-before I left for FIBER NUTZ, I sliced and salted all of our cherry tomatoes and left them to drain

-after I spun off all of the accumulated liquid, I added a chiffonade of basil

-layered that into a pie crust

-topped it with a mix of mozarella/cheddar/mayo

-and baked at 350 degrees for about 35 minutes.....YUM!

Michael wanted to watch a shoot-em-up-car-chase movie on NETFLIX, so I just vegged downstairs for the evening.

You know those painted rocks that people make and leave along trails for others to find and brighten their day? Well, my quilting friend has done the same thing with hearts….aren’t these so pretty?
