Wednesday (2/15) was all about FOUST!!! They had their twice yearly fabric warehouse sale and I went with Cathy W and Diane and we got there just after 9 AM. We knew most of the people who were shopping (the majority were definitely from Sun City) and when we finished up just after 10 AM, here’s what the back of the car looked like:
I'm pretty sure I was the big winner, with a receipt for 601 bucks (but I was buying for 4 people total)! What did I buy?
-108'' wide blue backing for QoV's for Scrap Happy, flag fabric for me, yellow for Loree
-2 bolts from the sale room that were so beautiful I just had to own them. This picture in NO WAY does justice to the beauty of the fabric design or the color
-108'' wide light gray backing for BG...along with a dark brown 108'' wide backing for me (men's quilts) and a bolt of sale pink, always good for my rainbow quilts
We headed off to Ballentyne for Thai food for lunch….it was heavenly!!
I dropped Cathy and Diane off at the Lake House, and as soon as I got home, I SKYPE’d with Janice. We finished up around 2:30 and between getting my blog out and reading my emails, I didn’t get anything else done until 4 PM. My honey was out at the driving range in the afternoon, and when he came home, I said ‘’how was golf’’? And he said ‘’Wonderful!!! I know exactly what I did…..I should be bowling :~).’’ What can I tell you? He still makes me laugh almost every day.
I finally got back to quilting, and by 8 PM, I was done:
And I'm not sure I posted the latest completed embroideries:
I headed upstairs, had a fish sandwich with my honey for dinner…and we polished off the last of the birthday cake….yum!!!
And check out this absolutely GORGEOUS quilt BG just finished:
Another blast from the past... https://foodandfiberfloozie.blogspot.com/2018/02/shq-show-tell-michael-performing.html
