Friday-Saturday-Sunday

Michael headed out before 9 AM on Friday (2/17) for a doctor’s appointment, an appointment with the hearing aid place, CVS, Harris Teeter, Food Lion and the Sports place….he didn’t get home until 2 PM!!!

I headed to the studio and got some embroideries done:

and loaded up my customer quilt:

I got the pattern set up and some bobbins wound, but by then it was time to pick up Diane & Mark:

and head out to dinner. We went to a place called KOUNTER in Rock Hill and the food was delicious….I had shrimp & grits:

while Michael had the salmon:

All 4 of us split a platter of crab dip and flat breads. The food was outstanding....I would definitely go back there. We were early for the theatre after dinner, so we hit Amelie’s for coffee and some pastries:

before heading to the courthouse for the Rock Hill production of THE DINING ROOM. We all liked the play immensely, and we saw lots of theatre friends we haven’t seen in several years...the pandemic wins again :~(. We were home by 10:30 PM and read for over an hour before bed.

Saturday (2/18) was all about quilting…I worked on the Christmas quilt all day:

and by the time I headed upstairs to watch TV with my honey, I only had 2 rows left.

After making me breakfast on Sunday (2/19), my honey headed out for a walk with Cookie, while I headed to the studio and finished quilting the Christmas quilt:

Janet came over in the afternoon for a bit of help with her binding:

And of course, Ethel was facinated with her sewing case:

I got bread baked while she was working in the kitchen:

And Michael ran half a loaf over to neighbor Kay, who has been taking care of next-door-neighbor Joe's house while he is in rehab.

I worked for the rest of the day on my OBW quilt…I’ve started sewing some of it into rows:

*** Things that used to hurt my back:

-jumping off of garages

-drashing my bike

-falling out of a tree

-diving in the shallow end

-contact sports

Things that hurt my back now:

-sneezing

-washing the dishes

-brushing my teeth

-tying my shoes

-rolling over in bed ***

*** When I was young, I was scared of the dark.

Now, when I see my electric bill, I am scared of the lights. ***
