Cookie…and the gang were thankful for sun on Thanksgiving:
Michael was thankful for waffles & smurfy potatoes (and getting to SKYPE with the kids):
and I was thankful that I think I’ve solved my embroidery machine problems, thanks to my friends Larry & Joanne. My old embroidery arm hung OFF of the table where my machine sat and worked beautifully for the 16 years it was like that…and I put the new machine in the same position, since that’s the space I have available for a machine…but it kept NOT working. This new embroidery arm has feet at the end….so I asked Larry if he had a piece of wood lying around, to some specific dimensions and voila:
he showed up about a moment later with a perfectly cut piece! It worked like a charm when I fired it up this afternoon for a label:
I got the Bento Box – warm colors all cleaned up and on the to-be-bound pile:
the binding is already done. I also got the backing loaded for the “X” marks the spot quilt…hoping to quilt that on Friday.
Michael and I put together a wonderful casserole of chicken/stuffing/butternut squash for our dinner and snuggled on the couch, watching TV the rest of the evening. We haven’t seen much of each other with the last weeks of rehearsal and performances of the play….so it was wonderful to spend the whole day together.
*** Welcome to adulthood……you get mad when they re-arrange the grocery store shelves now. ***
Being an adult is dirty work!!!
