I was up early on Monday (5/30) to make it to Paula’s by 8 AM, in time for the golf cart parade:
Then it was off to Harris Teeter for a few supplies to fill the crockpot with Italian Wedding Soup. I’m part of the meal train for Loree and that will be our contribution for dinner tonight. Michael left for his 10 AM starting time for golf and after that I made it up to the Lake House to meet a new friend. A third party wanted us to meet and thought we would get along….OMgosh!!!! We talked for over FOUR HOURS!!!!! I would say yes….we got along…had a great time together…and are seeing each other again on the 11th!
I made a quick stop on the way home to drop off some kitty beds and cat food at Nadine’s…and got to play with an adorable kitty while I was there :~). She had 2…black just like Lucy & Ethel….but not nearly as soft!
I was finally home after 3 PM and just collapsed for a bit(and I may have had a tiny piece of bday cake :~) before heading downstairs to get my blog out. My honey got home after 4 PM with an 88….which coulda been much less except for his two quadruple bogey holes :~(.
After we talked, I packaged up 3 quarts of soup, some multi-grain bread…and most importantly of all…a quilting magazine!!! I picked up Paula (who contributed some of her yummy scones) and we dropped everything off with Loree’s daughter Mary Jo. I was back home before 6 PM and sewed for just a tiny bit, but enough to finish squiggle color #4:
before Michael and I had dinner (leftovers of stuff) and settled in for the evening. We went to bed around 10:30 PM, and got up again at 1 AM for a predicted meteor shower. We saw 3 meteors, but hardly the plethora that was promised if the tail broke up in a certain way….so we were back in bed by 1:30 AM.
ENDEAVOUR is coming back to PBS with season 8…I think maybe in July. I didn’t remember anything about season 7, so I’ve been watching it again over the last couple of days on PASSPORT….holy cow…I remembered hardly anything of the last episode…I’m so glad I watched it again.
