I made yoghurt overnight in the crockpot for Michael, so I got that packaged up Saturday morning (4/16):
as he left for golf. He was hoping to get in at least 9 holes before the rain came.
I got laundry in and took Cookie out…..OMGosh…..the irises from Loree are just stunning looking:
I finally made it downstairs and was hoping to get one of my new customer quilts loaded up before the rain/thunderstorms, but first I had to get Paula’s off of the frame. That took under an hour, then I started to load up Darlene’s backing. My friend Connie and her daughter Cindy stopped by for a quick visit:
and Connie brought me 3 books (cozy mysteries) by Laura Childs (who I love!) We chatted for just a bit before they headed for home.
My honey got home around 2:30 PM and was TOTALLY excited!!! They got in all 18 holes, and he read off the scores for his first nine: par, bogey, par, par, par, par, birdie, par, birdie….for a SCORCHING 35 (one under par!!!)…then, a 42 on the back side for a total of 77!!!!!!
I continued to layout my THRID!!! chandelier quilt:
2 and 3 together
At this point I only have about 4 - 5 blocks left...and they will go in my orphan blocks box.
We had leftovers for dinner and watched MRS MAISEL as our date night entertainment.
BG has always wanted to make baked beans from scratch, and finally pulled out an old recipe (recognize it anyone???)
Debbie - she said they were definitely a KEEPER!!!

HAPPY EASTER…Sunday (4/17) was all about getting ready for our company…I made roll dough:
and put together scalloped potatoes and got the sliced ham in a dish, and made deviled eggs:
We expanded our table and got it set:
and our company arrived at 4 PM with a tossed salad and dessert!

Everyone said dinner was excellent:
and we talked and talked and talked about all manner of things, it was WONDERFUL!
And of course, the red velvet cake was beautiful and yummy (according to everyone who had a piece, which didn't include me!)
Everyone left before 9 PM and we read for a bit before watching just a little TV before bed.
Arizona Mary has her second quilt on the longarm....this is a top she got mostly done on retreat:
*** Of course you can trust me. Not alone with cake of course…but otherwise :~). ***
Crock pot yogurt? I'm interested. Do you share recipes?
The Easter dinner looks fabulous! I cannot believe you still have that baked bean recipe! That recipe is certainly a blast from the past. We haven't made it in years. The beans look great. Take Care.😊
Easter dinner....Another successful Devo production!!!
