*******************************************

Our phone rang at 6:45 AM this morning (Wednesday, 7/21) with a reminder for my PT appointment next Tuesday!!!!!! This is the first time I’ve ever gotten a reminder call about PT…and it was not about my appointment tomorrow, or next Thursday…..just Tuesday. They will definitely be getting an earful from me about the call when I go tomorrow…..6:45 AM is WAY TOO EARLY for anyone to be calling!!! Michael was already up and breakfasting at that time, as he had an 8 AM tee time. I was still rolling around in the bed…trying to figure out if I can finally move back to the bed from the fainting couch for sleeping. I am still not sure I can get in a comfortable position…but I think I’m going to try it this weekend…I really miss sleeping in the bed :~(.

Anyway, I got started on my day and finally got the current quilt off of Xena and into a blue IKEA bag….I plan to take these last 2 quilts to Scrap Happy next week so that June can trim them for me (OK June??)

After that it was another long time on the phone, trying to make some progress on getting our sliding glass doors fixed. I think I’ve already mentioned that I finally got off my duff and got JELD WEN to send 2 new doors, as the seal on both of our sliders has been compromised for quite awhile. I hired a handyman to change them out, and to no one’s surprise (at least no one who lives in a PULTE built house) they are not normal and he couldn’t figure out how to change them. After conversations with PULTE and being directed to 84 Lumber, I find out that 84 Lumber did not start installing doors for them until 2010, so it’s back to PULTE to see where I might go next. And the age old question rears its ugly head: Why can’t anything ever be easy????? So far I’ve spent time with Jeld Wen, then Pulte, then 84 Lumber, now back to Pulte. Each of these interactions were comprised of multiple emails and/or phone calls…..and I’m still not done….will it ever end??? Stay tuned….

I SKYPE-ed with Janice (we didn’t start until after NOON as she had a hair appointment in the morning) and we finished up in time for me to change clothes and head across the street for some bloodwork. When I got home from that, I got the backing loaded for a new customer quilt before stopping for dinner.

After dinner, Michael and I headed out in our golf cart to a near by street for a karaoke concert:

We met our neighbors Kay & Pete there, so the men got in one golf cart and Kay and I were in another and we got to talk away the evening…it was very pleasant. Michael read for a bit when we got home (another Jack REacher book has sucked him in….Pat, when he’s done we’ll have 2 books coming your way) before a bit of TV and bed.
