I was up early on Wednesday (2/23) to get showered and get a blog out before leaving for breakfast with the ladies at Le Peep:
-Sally & Ann Mary
-Gale & Ginny
We sat and talked until 11:30, and when Ann Mary dropped me off at home, I hurried to the car and took off for Waxhaw as I had an appointment with the hearing aid place. I got there with a minute to spare…but everything was locked up tight :~(. I called and left a message, questioning my appointment before heading back home.
When I got there, I got to sew on my quilt for just a bit until it was time to leave for my massage. Miracle Ear called me back in the interim….you know how your doctor’s office will never admit that they ever made a mistake about anything concerning your appointment? At least, that has been my experience…anyway….when they called back they told me that my appointment had been re-scheduled for sometime in April…and when I asked how I would know that…the woman on the phone said ‘’you wouldn’t, because there are no follow-up notes in your file indicating that you had been notified!!’’ I was totally shocked that they actually admitted that! It was all straightened out, and now I go sometime in April.
My massage was absolutely heavenly, and when I got home I finally got to SKYPE with Janice for our usual Wednesday get-together. She has finished her brown scrap quilt…and her border of 2 inch squares just MAKES that quilt…I think it is stunning:
I got to sew for just a bit after that, putting together the top half of my quilt:
before Mexican Chicken soup for dinner and snuggling on the couch with my honey.
*** Quilting fills my days….
and my nights…
and my craft room…
and my bedroom closet…
and underneath the spare room bed…
and sometimes the living room! ***
I can relate to the 'quilting fills my days'... !
Great job Janice... love the border.
Beautiful quilt Janice!
