Linda's quilt, Sandy's quilt

Michael was out of the house before I even got out of bed on Saturday morning (6/28).  He headed out to a car show and then hit up the Mustang Museum to see the first 3 generations of Mustangs.

I polished off quilting on Linda’s quilt:

And started to sew the rows together on my spiral quilt.

We had leftovers for dinner and played cribbage in the evening….did I tell you about that on our vacation?  We only play cribbage once every 5 – 6 months….and I always feel stupid when we play because by then, I have forgotten all of the rules.  So, I secretly packed the cribbage board in my luggage and brought it out the first night, telling Michael that we could play every night of our vacation so that I would get better….he LOVED the idea!

I got a late start in the studio on Sunday (6/29), and just managed to get Sandy’s quilt loaded up and basted, with the program set up and bobbins wound…..so I’ll be ready to hit the ground running Monday morning:

Michael headed out for 18 holes of golf…..but the temperatures were brutal and he skipped a bunch of holes during the round…and finally made it home to collapse.

Michael headed out to 9 holes of golf Monday, while I spent the morning FINALLY getting out a blog entry!

Then, I fired up Xena and got a start on Sandy’s quilt:

I worked on that all day and got about 40% of the way done as it is a large quilt.

Michael and I wanted Chinese from Tien Tien for dinner…but they are on vacation until July 15…..so we defaulted to RED BOWL and they are closed on Mondays….so we dropped back to a pizza from Harris Teeter….but they were no longer taking orders (it was 6:30 and they were full!), so we ended up with HABIT BURGERS and they were SO YUMMY!!!!  We don’t eat a lot of beef, so I guess that contributed to how good they were :~).

I love both Linda's and Sandy's quilts! I believe Linda's quilt fabric is the same as a Lang puzzle I bought for my dad to put together. I love the colors Lang use in their puzzles, calendars, and cards.
