I finished up the 2021 yearly missive on Tuesday morning (12/14), then went to work on addresses for Christmas cards. I recently did a mail merge for Pam (something I am NOT very experienced with), and it went surprisingly well. I pulled out the directions I had written for myself last year, and managed to produce something with not too much trouble…so I am feeling better about doing my own mail merge for Christmas card labels (previously I've been able to make it work maybe every 3rd year). After that Michael and I had a long discussion on New Year’s Day brunch…and we worked on the guest list for that. After that we spent time perusing the OMAHA STEAKS website for a gift to send to Marc & Kate….once that was done, Michael and Cookie headed out for a walk, and I started to clean up this (you know I like to start the new year with a redd up house and studio!):
We paused everything at 12:30 to go and get beautified at the hair salon :~). We made several stops on the way home (Food Lion, CVS, UPS) and were finally home by 3 PM. Because of my hair appointment, I didn't get to the to the December weaving meeting....but Rosalie kindly sent me a picture of one piece of show and tell...Lucie does stained glass and this is stunning:
I got sucked into my library books once again, and even when Michael left at 6 PM for the movies….I continued to read…then switched to the TV until he got home.

King Richard, stars Will Smith as Richard, the father of Venus And Serena Williams.
As they say “ a man with a plan” to make his daughters the 2 best tennis players in the world. Richard comes across as a man from the ghetto, uneducated, coarse, but with plenty of street smarts. It takes a while for others to see it, but his plan works to perfection, but not without a few bumps in the road. Excellent acting throughout and great tennis playing by the two kids who play Venus and Serena. If you enjoy tennis at all this is a must see. I give it 5 fat quarters out of 5.
