My customer brought back her ‘’amended’’ backing, so that was what I worked on Tuesday morning (5/16), with my Lucy baby keeping me company:
-we always call this Halloween Kitty
Sharon did an excellent job with the extra fabric, so I was glad to be able to complete the loading. I only got the backing and batting laid on by the time it was time to leave for the Fiber Nutz group:
-darn it! I didn't notice Pam's eyes were closed....this shawl she is modeling is the very first thing she ever wove....
-Kathy...being a nut, but showing off her beautifully woven scarf!
-Marilyn (I liked both of these pictures...so I'm including both :~)
-Rosalie
We had a wonderful time, with lots of laughs. Marilyn has led an interesting life and told us the most incredible story about her wedding in the 70’s, when she made at least 24 yards of batik fabric for her bridesmaids to use to make their dresses. I’m telling you….Marilyn always has the most incredible stories…and she always gets us laughing.
I took 2 quilts for show and tell, and like kitties everywhere, Mehitabel (Pam's cat) had to check out the softness of the quilt as soon as I laid it out:
I was home by 4 PM and ran through a bunch of emails before loading and basting the top of Sharon's quilt:
The crab truck was here, so we had crab sandwiches for dinner, (Diane, Michael wanted me to tell you that they’ll be in Tree Tops Wednesday night!) then settled in for date night with popcorn (Michael and Larry didn’t go to the movies as they felt there was nothing to see). We watched a JURASSIC PARK from 2018 with a volcano in it that I don’t think I’ve ever seen.
More things missed while the blog was down, Michael did another hidden pictures card for AJ:
and I had 2 totally finished quilts. I had planned to make another rainbow quilt, but when I got the blocks all finished, I decided it might not really work to do a rainbow in the Arizona Mary pattern, so I made another set of the very same blocks, and divided the blocks into a ‘’warm colors’’ quilt:
and a ‘’cool colors’’ quilt:
*** Some people are like clouds, once they disappear it's a beautiful day. ***
Your days are obviously longer than mine, I could never keep up with all you do! I love both quilts, especially the cool!
I can't decide whether I like the 'warm' or 'cool' color quilt. The 'cool' quilt reminds me of the ocean, which is where I wish I was. Michael, I give up. Where is the car?
I can't find the car either.
Rosalie - keep spinning!!Don't get dizzy!
Halloween cat🤭!
What a great idea for a birthday card! Even adults love seek and finds 😆
I wish I couldve seen more of how the customer quilt was pieced- intriguing!
And, as I just LOVE all your quilts that you share— these ones are happy inducing colors and pattern!
