I spent Saturday morning (7/19) getting my 3rd customer quilt off of the rails and all cleaned up:

I must now have the perfect number of to-be-bound quilts in the pile, because I've been having a LOT of company:

I finished cleaning up the quilt literally 10 minutes before Pat arrived to load her quilt:

We had a great time talking and were finished with her quilt by around 3 PM.

Michael and I finished watching DEPT Q on NETFLIX in the evening…what a suspenseful and interesting, but as I said before, gritty show…..HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Sunday morning (7/20) I was up early and got a blueberry coffee cake baked:

before getting the backing for Pam’s first quilt loaded. She showed up at NOON to take pictures for us:

And then we headed outside:

Yep - my wonderful honey hired a stretch limo to take us into Charlotte for an incredible show AIN”T TOO PROUD TO BEG, the story of the Temptations! The music was incredible, the voices and acting wonderful, our seats were awesome and we had a fabulous time:

Then it was off to MAMA RICOTA’s for Pasta with Vodka sauce:

and eggplant parm with a side of spaghetti:

before heading home…snuggling in the back :~).

Michael was out of the house at 6:30 AM on Monday morning (7/21), while I got up at a much more leisurely 7:30 AM :~). I read my library book in the morning before showering and heading out to Machine Embroidery in the afternoon.
The challenge for the month was to use the Christmas fabrics we got in July (it was funny how many people used the same design):

And the rest of the show and tell was awesome as well (Diane - there's one hidden in here for Mark!):

My honey made us big salads for dinner and we started to watch a new, EXCELLENT show on PBS – PATIENCE….another highly recommended!

Michael headed out to the foot doc on Tuesday morning (7/22)…someone recently mentioned that it seemed like he was going to the doctor a LOT. I said ‘’yes…he has neuropathy in his feet and legs…no, he is not diabetic…..yes, he is trying a treatment to regrow the nerves. Treatment includes injections of stem cells….laser treatments and a bunch of other stuff. He needs to go twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays for his treatments and the hope is that feeling will return and he won’t end up in a wheelchair due to no feeling in legs/feet.’’ Anyway, I headed to the studio to load up the first of 2 quilts from Pam:

There was nothing at the movies my honey wanted to see….so he made popcorn and we watched NONNAS on NETFLIX in the evening.
And 10 years ago....

*** I start the day with Captain Crunch and end it with Captain Morgan because apparently, I want to be a pirate. ***

Love Pat's quilt! All of the machine embroidery is wonderful and I love sayings! Your blueberry crumb cake looks so good! You and Michael looked absolutely fantastic for your night on the town. Your dinners looked wonderful!
I love the first quilt in the blog! Square blocks with some four patches. Any idea what the pattern is. I could probably sketch it out but thought id ask. Blueberry crumb cake looks dee-licious! Looks like you had a great night seeing the temptations. You both looked mah-velous!
Wow! Your machine embroidery group has been busy!!!! Beautiful stuff!!
Love your furry helpers!! The towels were beautiful and hysterical!! Very creative .
I love the background on the customer quilt at start of the blog today, I got some left over blueberries, might make a coffee cake too. I watched the trailer for Dept Q, looks really good! Thanks for the recommendation
