So, the question for today is…..just how many pictures are too many pictures in a blog post about a new puppy???
We were up early on Wednesday (8/16) pulling together everything we wanted to take to pick up the puppy…and we hit the road at 9 AM. We were there by 11 AM, and tried to play with our chosen little gal, but she was just too frightened to do anything:
so we hopped in the car and came right home.
We were home by 1:30 PM and Freya went directly from the car to the grass, to see if she would do her business….no go…she had no idea what grass was and was still too stressed to do anything more than sit down. So, she went directly from the grass to the laundry tub for a bath….as she was pretty ripe! She wasn’t crazy about the bath, but she certainly settled down once wrapped in a big towel and snuggling on someone’s lap :~).
Draggin her leash around (a friend recommended that we leave the leash on in the house, and other than Freya chewing on it, it is an excellent suggestion) was too much to resist for Lucy:
And in a surprising twist to us, Lucy was the braver kitty....she stayed in the living room the entire time...while Ethel came upstairs a time or two, but mostly spent her time downstairs:
The rest of the day was spent watching her…and smiling!
Kay (neighbor 2 doors down) came down to meet her…and Anne came over to meet her as well.
Freya ate up her dinner:
and settled on the couch with us to watch TV for just an hour before bed.
We put her in the crate (she took several naps in there in the afternoon and generally regarded it as her safe space…to retreat to when the kitties came sniffing around) and she made two tiny peeps before settling down for the entire night….hooray!!! Hope that continues….
This was hysterical to watch....the leash is just out of her reach...kind of like a dog chasing their own tail:
This one may not be true for everyone, but it has certainly been true in my life:
*** Sometimes I check out my cleavage and think WOW!! So that’s where the rest of my cookie went. ***
Adorable, congratulations , is that a stuffed animal for in the crate for comfort
Love the puppy pics! Freya is the cutest. Looks like she and Michael are bonding. Is she going to be a "Daddy's girl"? Congratulations to the proud parents and her two furry sisters! What breed is she?
Good looking puppy and love the leash video.
Oh what a little doll !!
Congratulations !!! Can't wait to meet Freya. Have to ask...What inspired the name? Recent trip to Iceland?
