I was still kinda dragging on Monday (1/2) and I spent the morning in the kitchen taking care of a pile of mail and bills before finally hitting the studio in the afternoon.
I spent the afternoon finishing the sashing on the 4 patch quilt top:
June mentioned that this would really POP with cornerstone blocks...and I don't disagree....but yuck....too small and would take too long to set in :~).
Just before dinner, I finally got all of the squares on point laid out:
I feel really happy with what I got done today, especially in the limited time I had...and I love looking at my newly cleaned off sewing tables...that makes me want to dive into something new!
I forgot to do the stash report on January 1st, so here it is:I used 13-5/8 yards of fabric in December. So, for the last 5 months of the year, I used 92-1/2 yards out of my stash….I think that’s pretty good :~).
*** 1 – going to bed early
2 – not leaving my house
3 – not going to a party
My childhood punishments have become my adult goals. ***
We watched Thin Man movies to bring in the New Year, turned off the tv arLund 12:30
I said “ouch” when I read the cornerstone comment 😅
What lovely goals… I also aspire to them!
2023 getting off to a great start!! Those new quilts look fantastic, so simple, but I think kudos to your fabric selection.
