Men's quilt progress, 2 labels

I SKYPE-d with Janice Wednesday morning (1/11) and my honey left for golf. As soon as we were done, I headed out to the hairdressers (why do we call them that? Have you ever had one put clothes on your hair??) and was finally home by 2 PM….where upon I sat in the living room and read this totally charming book for the rest of the day (details on author and title when I finish it!)

My honey got home after 4 PM…he said his score was atrocious…but he had a good time with the guys in his foursome. I headed to the studio around 4:30, to get my blog out and to work on some sewing. I got all of the middle rows of the men’s quilt sewn together:

and then sewed the final blocks into rows and the rows sewn together on the last little bit:

Another hour or so and it should all be sewn together including the 4 corner triangles….I’m afraid I cut them a wee bit small the first time….so I’ll have to do that again. I also got 2 labels done:

for the quilts-to-be-bound.

We had leftover soup for dinner again, and I continued knitting while we watched TV.

*** I put on a layer of fat for the winter….unfortunately it was the winter of 1989! ***
