I spent the morning in the kitchen on Monday (12/19) making Boston Crème Pie cookie cups:
to take to the Machine Embroidery party in the afternoon. Michael was out all morning on errands:post office, liquor store, ALDI’s, library, and finally settling in for lunch at the BIG VIEW with Ralph (recently moved to Florida, but back visiting for the month of December) and a couple of other golfer friends.
Pat came a bit early to pick me up so that we could chat, but we left before 1 PM to arrive on time to Joyce’s house and the party. There were plenty of people:
-Pat, Corinne, Joyce (our hostess) and Cheryl (seated)
-Penny & Rob
-Pat
-June, Ellie, Lisa
-Pat & Donna
-Kathy, Nancy, Bernice
-Raeann
and plenty of cookies (in addition to eating, we had a cookie exchange):
and lots and lots of show and tell:
and Joyce had a fun and non-stressful game for us to play, that also allowed us to get to know each other a bit better. I was home by 3 PM, and my honey was home about half an hour later. Since he went to the library, I spent the afternoon and a lot of the evening reading my new book!
Another blast from the past…https://foodandfiberfloozie.blogspot.com/2017/12/mesig-christmas-party-sns-martini-night.html
*** If really good-looking people are called ‘’eye candy’’, I guess I’m somewhere in the ‘’eye broccoli’’ category. ***
All of the cookies look so yummy! I love all of the show and tell, fabulous! Would you be willing to share the recipe for the Boston Creme Pie cookie cups? They look great and I love Boston Creme pie.
Your photography skills have improved greatly since your blast of the past blog.
