MESIG Show & Tell, Iris's 1st totally finished quilt, SHQ Show & Tell

And people wonder why the incidence of violence has gone up in America.....with a ''leader'' like this, it is no wonder:

President Trump on Thursday suggested several Democratic lawmakers be punished by death for encouraging US troops to disobey illegal orders that the administration might issue. "SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH," Trump wrote in a social media post, responding to a video from six members of Congress who previously served in the military and intelligence community, calling on current personnel to "refuse illegal orders." Trump's remarks drew swift condemnation from Democrats, who accused him of inciting violence. His comments also prompted concern from members in his own party, with House Speaker Mike Johnson even conceding he wouldn't have used the same language.

What a loser......8647!

Michael left for shopping at BJ’s (picking up most of my additional candy making supplies) Monday morning (11/17), while Iris came for a lesson:

She started to put the binding on the back of the first quilt:

while I loaded up yet another customer quilt:

We quit around NOON and I got ready to head up to machine embroidery.

We had a lot of lovely things today:

This is our challenge for next month:

and when I got home, I just relaxed and read my book until I had an early dinner, then headed downstairs to get the program set up for my newest quilt.  After that I joined Michael for some knitting and TV watching.

Iris was back on Tuesday morning (11/18) to put the binding on the front side of the 1st quilt:

and I kicked off quilting on my QoV customer quilt:

By the time Iris left at 11:30….she had a TOTALLY FINISHED QUILT….her very first one ever:

I am so very proud of her....she has done an incredible job!!!!!

I spent the afternoon quilting, and sewing together some strata, donated by Sandy, for a crossroads block quilt:

My honey got us soup from the crab truck and then left super early for the movies, and after I ate my soup, I settled in with a movie myself and knit on his sweater :~).

I had a video chat with Janice on Wednesday morning (11/19), ran to ALDI afterwards for a large grocery shop, and got everything put away before my massage at 1 PM.

Michael had a late tee time….so I didn’t see him again until 4 PM!

I spent the afternoon on my customer’s QoV, and by dinnertime it was done and off of the frame...I'll take it to quilting tomorrow to trim it.

Thursday (11/20) was all about quilting….Michael packed my car and I took off.  It was another wonderful day….and a good business meeting with several upcoming changes.  One thing NOT related to the changes, we voted in a limit on membership some years ago…and have had people on the waiting list all of this year.  Someone is finally dropping out at the end of 2025, and Marvella’s friend on the waiting list will be joining us next year.  She came today and seems like a delightful person….and she is going to try to come again a time or 2 before her official start in January, and we are all looking forward to it.

We had wonderful show and tell:

-I was very grateful to have 2 people hold up my quilt so that I could get a better picture of the entire thing

and when I got home after 3 PM, I was just pooped and vegged in the living room until Marcia came by to pick up her quilt.

My honey got home from his second-afternoon-in-a-row of golf…and he was BEAT!!!!  We had salads for dinner and watched TV before bed…..I was so tired I didn’t even do any knitting.

And 10 years ago.....

*** Seeking one night stand......possibly 2 as I have 2 lamps. ***

*** Raisin cookies that look like chocolate chip cookies are one of the main reasons I have trust issues. ***

*** Remember when we used to laugh at the commercial ''help, I've fallen and I can't get up''? Not so funny anymore, is it? ***
