MESIG Show & Tell, Leila's totally finished quilt

I'm old enough to remember when tRUMP posted a video of a MAGA truck with a picture of President Biden tied up in the back....but oh yes...continue to lecture me on how the Democrats are a dangerous, radical, terrorist organization that needs to tone it down.

President Donald Trump is now suggesting that the federal government could revoke the licenses of broadcast networks if they air negative coverage of him. (Why doesn't this seem to alarm anyone!?!?!?)

I was up Sunday morning (9/14) and finished the quilting on the charity quilt.  It only took about half an hour to tie in the ends and get it off of my frame, before I turned my attention to one more project for my project box for the retreat in October.  I only managed to pull my fabric before it was time to get cleaned up and head into Charlotte for THEATRE CHARLOTTE’s production of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS.  It was a fabulous production and fabulous cast, directed by a friend of ours.

We had a wonderful time and headed to MAMA RICOTTA’s for dinner (4 cheese ravioli with meat sauce for Michael and Chicken Parm for me) before heading home.  We decided to watch Leanne’s I’M EVERY WOMAN special on NETFLIX and a baking show and both were wonderful.

Michael headed out Monday morning (9/15) to the DMV for a new car title (where he set a record….in at 11:05 and finished and walking out the door at 11:08!!!), and then various grocery type errands) while I headed to the studio to stitch out a :

to take to Machine Embroidery in the afternoon.

Machine Embroidery was wonderful…the challenge this month was to stitch out something on mesh:

and then we had regular show & tell:

I hit the UPS store on the way home to return something and was home in time to relax and read.  We had leftovers for dinner and probably still have enough for 1 – 2 more meals!

Michael went golfing Tuesday morning (9/16) and I got another quilt cut out for retreat:

and then started to load up fleece on my long arm for 2 small quilts:

I'm glad I got the label stitched out on the front before loading this one:

I decided to tackle a recent UFO, that’s been on my design wall for several weeks.  My curvy rectangles just needed borders on 2 sides to hit the size I wanted, so I got that done as well:

And I got the binding done for this also.

I had a really early dinner, then my honey left for the movies (THIS IS SPINAL TAP 2, which he said was WAY better than the first one) and I headed off to Pam’s for a night of drinking and talking.  I was there for almost 3 hours, and my honey ended up beating me home.

And...we have a TOTALY FINISHED QUILT from friend Leila:

That giraffe embroidery is darling. It makes me want to do ME again. The embroidery on mesh is beautiful, is that yours? Oh that cat reminds me of Margaret's cats on her quilts.
