Monday - Tuesday - Wednesday

Monday morning (7/29) was face-the-music time….QoV quilts on XENA.  But first, I had to procrastinate a lot with the blog and cleaning up my sewing room, but finally I bit the bullet:

Both quilts off of the frame and on the end of the pool table. I got a new quilt loaded up:

and set up the program and wound bobbins…but by then thunderstorms had moved in, so I shut XENA down and continued to clean up my sewing room.

I spent a bit of time looking for a serger book I need for a new project before heading upstairs for leftover Chinese and knitting and TV with my honey.

Michael headed out Tuesday (7/30) for an oil change on his Mustang, then a foot doctor appointment and then errands on the way home (ALDI’s, bird store, pet store, vitamin store, Comporium, Harris Teeter).

I took apart my long arm machine and cleaned and oiled everything, put in a new needle….tried to check for burrs everywhere I could think of…loaded up a new quilt, changed thread and kicked everything off...success!!!:

I kept working on it all day and finished it up:

just as Michael was picked up to go to the movies.  I got a second one loaded:

and got one pass done:

before retiring upstairs to knit and watch TV.

Even though we had a tremendous thunder and lightning storm Tuesday night, Michael headed out on Wednesday (7/31) for golf.  I was busy in the studio and got a second quilt done:

before leaving at lunch to pick up Pam, Diane & Loree for our foray to the Thai restaurant (yet another birthday celebration!):

-Diane ordered an iced Thai coffee and Pam ordered an iced Thai tea (below) with lunch....they both looked yummy!!

I had my usual:

and we sat and talked for quite awhile after lunch before heading home.  I was only home for about 20 minutes when my honey wandered in…soaked to the skin in this heat…but happy that he got to golf.

*** I just got my results from ‘’23 and me’’…turns out I’m 86% Danish Butter Cookie from the COSTCO region. ***

Nice to hear Xena hasn't bit the dust. Might get back to quilting someday and then I'll need you and her.
