We had kind of a lazy morning on Sunday (1/2), and I didn’t make it to my studio until NOON. To save me time, my honey brought down my breakfast…with the added surprise of leftover bacon…..yum:
I continued to work on cutting, and by the time I headed upstairs at 9 PM, I had 2 new projects in my project box (for a total of 4 quilt tops):
-this will be my basic square in a square, with one focus fabric:
and 4 complimentary colors
-and I got another QoV cut (BG, this is that zig zag one...I'm looking forward to testing out my newly written directions):
Ideally I would like to get 2 more projects in there….that should be MORE THAN ENOUGH to get me through QUAP, which is in less than SIX WEEKS (hello Janice and Pat and Arizona Mary and Jan (all of the QUAP people that read the blog)!!!)
Michael came down to work on his golf course…and thanks to setting my TV to ‘reruns’, we got almost the entire first season of RESIDENT ALIEN to watch and remember before the first season starts on January 26. If you haven’t been watching it, it is streaming on PEACOCK (and I’m pretty sure that’s free if you have a smart TV and download the app)…and if quirky is your bag, you NEED to be watching it…Alan Turdyk as the alien is FABULOUS!!!
We had Anne’s crab dip for dinner and it was wonderful….I finally had to stop myself from scooping it up with crackers! Michael and I watched just a little TV and were in bed before 11 PM.
*** One day I intend to be a little old person in a nursing home, that leads the rebellion and puts vodka in all of the IV bags. ***
Those leaves of purple/green look so purty!
And how does your shoulder feel today from your cutting marathon?? Your rotary cutter must have been smokin'!!! 😀
