Friday (6/17) was another early morning….we were up at 4 AM to leave before 4:30 to get Michael to the airport the recommended 2 hours ahead of his 7:06 AM flight!!! He is on his way north to visit the kids! This has been a week of early morning wake-ups....I'm glad we're done for a bit.
I came home and napped for a bit before heading out for a hair appointment. When I came home from that, I just had to continue reading my newest book….and finished it in the early afternoon…I HIGHLY recommend it: ALL THE LONELY PEOPLE by Mike Gayle. I got it from the library.
As I was finishing up my book, my new friend Sue:
stopped by for a visit and to drop off a care package for after my surgery….wasn’t that sweet? She wasn't sure how I would feel after the surgery, and wanted to make sure I had some yummy (non-carb) things to munch on :~).
I finally made it downstairs to get a blog entry out….and then continued on with the squiggle quilt, and by early evening, the blocks were all sewn together:
I know this quilt top gets a small white border...I don't remember if there's another blue one after that...I'll have to check the pattern on Saturday. Lucy was in her usual place these days....on the towering pile of to-be-bound quilts:
It was good that I finished my quilt top when I did, since I was afraid that our electricity would go out in another strong rain/wind storm.
