During his remarks at the Kennedy Center several weeks ago, tRUMP revealed the real reason why he became chairman of the Kennedy Center: to give himself an honor. "I wanted one. I was never able to get one... I waited and waited and waited and I said, 'the hell with it.' I'll become chairman and I'll give myself an honor," tRUMP said.
What a pathetic loser!
AND....never forget what tRUMP said after the assassinations of Democrats in Minnesota by one of his biggest supporters: ''I think the governor of Minnesota is so whacked out. I'm not calling him, why would I call him? I could call and say ''Hi, how you doing?'' Uh, the guy doesn't have a clue, he's a mess. I could be nice and call, but why waste time''? June 17th, 2025
With Republicans calling for more civility and compassion....why don't they start with him?????

Of course I read several quilt blogs....and this was in one of the latest ones....I personally tend to think I don't have that many quilting UFO's (please don't ask about knitting and jewelry ones!), but I'm not sure that is true....I think I need to do what she is suggesting below! I'll let you know how it goes....
''There comes a time in each quilter’s life when she needs to face up to the UFO situation. Are you organized? Do you even know what unfinished projects are hidden away in your sewing room? If you went back in time, how many years old are some of your abandoned projects? Two years old? Five? Ten?
We tend to stash them away out of sight and ignore them for years on end. I urge you to confront them and make a list of your UFOs, and make a plan on how to deal with them. I was inspired to get out a record-keeping notebook and go have a good look at the project bins I have full of almost completed or half-finished quilt projects. ''

I do not consider my finished quilt tops to be UFO's.....they are just waiting for XENA to be empty of customer quilts so that I can get to them. But that's just me :~)

I got one quilt off of XENA on Monday morning (9/8), and loaded up the backing for a new quilt Monday afternoon. My dealer is coming to check out my machine on Tuesday, and I wanted to have a quilt on the frame so that we can check out the stitching. The rest of the day was spent on my new chandelier:

I bought an upgrade for my machine last December, but have never felt there was a good time to load it….I had originally thought I'd wait until my dealer came on Tuesday, but decided it was a really bad idea to load a new version in the middle of doing a quilt, so I called the parent company and finally I got a call back from the manufacturer around 7 PM and she walked me through partially getting it done. I needed an “SD” card, which I didn’t have….so she texted my dealer and he will bring on Tuesday so that we can complete the install.

I thought Jimmy (my INNOVA dealer) would go to Cindy’s house first, since she set this whole thing up…but I was closer, so he showed up at 9:30 AM on Tuesday morning (9/9). I wasn’t nearly ready for him….but he performed a bunch of maintenance stuff on my machine while I was setting up the program and getting a quilt basted:

He finished installing the update and I started quilt to make sure everything was working, before he headed out to Cindy’s house (another INNOVA owner).
I continued to stitch on my quilt….when suddenly my machine stopped with an error I have NEVER seen before!!! Why….why does this happen? I put a call into the store, but Jimmy wasn’t back yet, so my quilt just sat while waiting for him, and I continued to work on the chandelier (that, by the way, Michael just LOVES :~).

Jimmy eventually called back and I got started quilting again…

but I HATE it when you do a new version and weird stuff pops up!!! I used to be on the ‘’sending a new version’’ end of things at Travelers…..now I’m on the ‘’receiving end’’ :~).

Wednesday (9/10) was a busy day from beginning to end….but I have to say I am THRILLED that I got done everything I wanted to do! First up was video chatting with Janice, then I left for a hair appointment.

Once home, I made 60 baklava cookies….some for the member/member golf banquet (Friday night) and the rest for guests that are coming to our house Friday night.
Then it was back to the studio to work until 8 PM (Michael left before 7 PM to deliver the cookies and attend the Democrat Club meeting). I finished up the quilting on my monster quilt….and got all of the bobbin ends woven in and the whole thing off of my frame.

AND…I almost finished another chandelier top (just the 4 corners left to do) to take in to show my students on Thursday:

And 10 years ago.....
*** You know that moment when you wake up in the morning, and jump out of bed so filled with energy? Yeah....me neither. ***
*** A million kids want to clean up the earth....a million parents want them to start with their room! ***
*** There is no such thing as a grouchy old person....the truth is....once you get old, you stop being polite and start being honest. ***
Your haircut is the bomb!
Absolutely LOVE the new haircut! Also love your chandelier quilt!
LOVE the new 'do!!!
