I got some paperwork done Saturday morning (7/18) before heading to the studio to sew together a backing for Sandy, and get her first quilt loaded on XENA: 

While that was stitching out, I got the crumb quilt inside all pressed:

and figured out what size borders I needed…but while I was contemplating what colors to use, I started to sew together the new QoV: 

I worked all day and got my blocks sewn into rows, and got about 3/4 of Sandy’s quilting finished.  We spent the evening watching a couple episodes of BOOKISH on PBS.

Sunday (7/19) was a lather-rinse-repeat of Saturday….Michael watched the final round of the British Open, while I finished the quilting on Sandy’s first quilt:

and got the inside of my new QoV all put together and pressed:

I put together Michael's crockpot overnight yoghurt:

before heading to the dentist Monday morning (7/20) for the final fitting of my crown, but made it home in time to have a lovely visit with Edee, a friend and former play partner of Michael’s.  She is now living in Belmont and we will be going to visit in August. 

Michael left for golf after that, and I got the inner border made and applied to my new QoV, before leaving for Machine Embroidery…..so you know what that means…..lots of beautiful items:

  When I got home, I got the binding made for one of my QoV’s I quilted a bit ago, and then worked on the outer border of the new one.  Again, it is slow going as I am using up scraps and reclaimed fabric.  Thanks to Robin’s continuing gifts of tomatoes, it was one-pot-pasta for dinner, along with the addition of green beans (thanks Robin!!!):
