Ralph & Candyce:

are leaving for 3 months in Florida today (NEW YEAR’S DAY), and we haven’t been able to connect with them lately, so we invited them over for breakfast…and did a big fry-up:

Ralph was THRLLED to get his birthday present of the Mississippi Mud Brownies as they left around NOON. Anne stopped by right after that:

and brought us the crab dip that she would have brought to our New Year’s Day open house. Michael and I finally decided not to have the open house...and notified the people we usually invite. With the Omicron variant in full swing, and numbers trending up, it seemed prudent to do so, but Anne had already bought the ingredients…and knows how much we love it….so she thought we should have it :~).

Anne left around 1:30 and it took about an hour to get my blog out before I headed back to cutting for my project box…still working on the disappearing 9 patch. I got that all cut and started working on cutting for a men’s quilt:

My honey had made a big bowl of popcorn to watch a movie in the afternoon, so he wasn’t really that hungry for dinner. We polished off our New Year’s Eve puffy things and watched TV in the evening.
