My honey wisely had previously cancelled his golf for Saturday (7/1), knowing that he would be tired after 2 evenings out. We still slept in a little bit, but eventually got moving. I wanted to get going on Pam’s quilt, so I got that loaded up:
And did all of my set up and kicked off the quilting:
I really like the pattern and the thread color….I don’t think it takes away anything from the colored fabric paterrn in the quilt, and it adds a lot of interest to the background.
I worked on that all day, and also just made a start at sewing together my Walk About. I couldn’t reach the top row, so I just started with row #2:
I figure I’ll wait until Michael is downstairs again and ask him to hand it to me :~).
We finally finished up the haslushkis for dinner, along with corn-on-the-cob for dessert and everything was yummy! We spent the evening binge watching a NETFLIX special called ARNOLD, all about Arnold Schwarzenegger. It was a terrific example that drive, hard work, passion and a clear vision can take you far! He seemed like a regular guy….I wondered if he would own up to his mistakes in the special…and he did.
People keep asking me where we are going on our cruise…and I tell them we’re going to all the ‘’lands’’….EngLAND, IreLAND, IceLAND, and ScotLAND!!
And remember friend Jan from the QUAP retreat? Here are more of her monthly flags, hanging on her house:
And remember that blue fabric I was selling? You've recently seen it in 2 beautiful quilts....well, June bought some and is doing a one block wonder with it....she's got a number of blocks done, and threw them up on her design wall in no particular order, and I think they already look GORGEOUS:
*** I did a push-up today.
Well, actually I fell down. But I had to use my arms to get back up so….ya know…close enough.
Now I need some chocolate. ***
Love June's one block wonder! The blue is so vibrant!
I’m so excited to see my quilt on the Longarm!! Thank you for showing it, Deb.
I think I'm detecting the fabric line Fruit Cocktail on Pam's quilt. We have such similar tastes in fabric Pam! June's OBW is beautiful. That fabric has really made the rounds and some fantastic quilts!
Beautiful one block wonder already!
Love seeing all the different ways people are using that beautiful blue flower fabric. Can't wait to see June's final design.
