Although I have moved into the ’’coughing phase’’ of this respiratory crud thing, I got a fairly good night’s sleep on Friday night and woke up feeling half-way decent on Saturday (5/17).  My honey got picked up at 10 AM to head to the PGA tournament at Quail Hollow….a friend got 2 tickets and invited him to go along.  I worked on my Beds=Dreams quilt and got it totally sewn together (although it needs a 3 inch border to be big enough) and continued to sew together the disappearing hourglass:

I got a wonderful email this morning from a friend/blog reader who said she is going on her first retreat ever on Monday and that I inspired her to do so!  I LOVE that!  Can’t wait to hear all about it when she gets back.

My honey was home by 4 PM and absolutely beat from all of the walking and the heat, but very happy with everything (and everyone) he got to see:

Saturday night I had a solid night's sleep from 11 PM until 3 AM...then it was coughing, coughing and more coughing. I got up and made myself a hot lemon/honey drink and sat sipping it for an hour, until I felt the coughing had calmed down and I could go back to sleep. That turned out to be the right decision as I fell back asleep until 8 AM Sunday (5/18) morning!!

It was a slow moving morning, and when I got to the studio in the afternoon, I kept trying to talk myself into doing something, but I just felt too tired, so I sat in one of my rocker chairs and rocked away while I watched TV.  I guess coughing really takes it out of me….hope this phase doesn’t last forever.

My honey left for golfing around NOON on Monday (5/19), while I sat around reading and drinking hot beverages and coughing  :~(.  Tuesday was more of the same….but I have a rant!  I haven’t had a CPAP doctor for 1-1/2 years….my old one stopped doing it and it just took a long time to find a new one.  Anyway, I have one now and saw him at the end of April.  He called in a prescription for supplies the day I saw hime…which I desperately needed as it had been 1-1/2 years since I had gotten any!  I waited for a call from the supply place because in the past they have been jonny-on-the-spot in calling me the minute I was eligible for new supplies, but after 2 weeks of nothing, I called them.  I spent half an hour on the phone getting everything up to speed and putting in an order and assuming I was all set.  Another week and a half goes by and nothing…and normally I would have received stuff by then.  So I call once again, only to find out that my order had been voided!!!  I didn’t get any kind of call or notification; it was just voided.  The new person I spoke with found all of the particulars, but every time she gave me a reason it was voided, when I pushed back and said ‘’no, that didn’t happen’’, she would find something else written down and say ‘’oh…you’re right’’!  But never found ANY explanation of why it happened, or why I wasn’t notified.  So….once again I put in another order…and now have put a follow-up in my phone, so that if I still don’t get anything, I can call yet again!  Does this happen to you???

And then today….Wednesday (5/21)….Michael and I head out to his heart doc appointment…where they valet park….only they can’t do that to our car because our registration sticker has expired!  Yes, it expired in January!  So now, we have to dig out our taxes for last year (where the bill is for the car taxes) and make a copy of that, then look it up in the bank and make a copy of the check…and Michael has to drive to Lancaster to the tax office with that info to try to get another sticker.  What makes this worse is….this is NOT the first time it has happened!  Guess I”ll have to put something in my phone for every year on January 31st to confirm that we got a sticker.  Just like I have noted in my calendar when our licenses expire….because one year we never got a notification on that!  I’m so glad computers were invented to make our lives easier….the problem is the morons running the computers!  So after calling the tax office, my FABULOUS honey headed out to the DMV at 1 PM in the afternoon….wonder if I’ll ever see him again…..  

And by the way….I just got an email from the CPAP supply place saying they have been unable to contact me by phone (somehow the hour yesterday doesn’t count?  Wonder if my order got voided again?)….please call them…..so I call….but they’re at lunch so I left a message!!! They eventually called back...and there's more to the story...but it is so very convoluted I don't even want to go into it. I still do not have any confidence that my supplies will show up next week.....
