Paula picked me up at 8 AM on Wednesday (8/3) and we swung by the Lake House to get Loree and Pam and Jean and then headed to Kings Mountain for the FOUST warehouse sale. I am thrilled to report that I only bought what was on my list!!! And 2-1/2 of the 4 bolts will be going to other people!
I was home before NOON and sat with ice on my leg (it was another very bad night of non-sleep and part of that was due to how much my leg was aching overnight) and had a wonderfully long chat with Mary Lee. We talked until it was time for me to leave for PT.
Daniel put me through my paces, but again, seemed pleased with my progress. When I got home from PT and the library, my honey was finally home from golf. He was very excited as he recounted that they started on the harder 9 holes…and he scored a 40, which included a chip in birdie! Then, he scored a 39 on the other 9 holes for an excellent 79!!!
We talked for a bit, then Michael headed off to the shower, and I headed to the basement to get my blog out and set up and start the quilting on the second QoV. I got one pass done:
and I finally finished the border on Blues #2:
I will bind it in dark blue. I thought you might like to compare the very similar Blues #1:
Janice likes Blues #2 so much that she has started her own in a different colorway (and also with slightly different sized blocks).
I headed upstairs to relax shortly after Michael left for rehearsal.

Janice..is your version teeny weeny squares...LOL
I think Blues 2 is my favorite, but both are cool
Hope you get a better nights sleep ! Are you on pain meds ? How about CBD lotion, or melatonin to help you sleep ?
Great job M with your 79 !
Love the quilting pattern on the QoV!!!
