Current US COVID related deaths: 808,763
US COVID deaths as of yesterday: 808,608
The US is averaging more than 100,000 new Covid-19 cases a day, the first time the country has crossed that threshold in two months. Deaths are also on the rise, with an average of 1,651 people dying from Covid-19 each day over the past seven days. Thanksgiving gatherings are likely one cause of the uptick.

I was struggling Sunday morning (12/5) after another horrible night of non-sleep. My honey made me a terrific breakfast:
and finally around 11 AM I headed to the studio to work on stuff. I took a break an hour later to head to Harris Teeter to get my booster shot and was home again by 2 PM. There was some special golf on TV that Michael wanted to watch…so I headed for the studio once again. I wanted to have the orphan blocks QoV top completely done by the time I went to bed….and it was. I’m not sure it is my favorite….but it is done (this is ''eveolution of orphan blocks to quilt''):
I also wanted to keep my embroidery machine going, so I just whipped off another quick label for the recent 4 patch finished top:
I had Mexican Chicken soup for dinner (I always forget just how much I like it!!), while Michael had Italian Wedding soup and we finished off Season 9 of THE GREAT BRITISH BAKING SHOW.
We only have blooms on one cactus right now…but it’s gorgeous:
