Michael left around 10 AM for golf on Monday (12/27), and I headed to the studio. Once I get all of my thread colors picked out, it is hard for me to only do one stitch out of a design, so I decided to do a second clown fish (the first one was on point, this one will be straight), and while that was stitching, I kicked off the quilting once again. What a perfect day…machines doing all of the work, while I watch a cooking show:

I finally got back to my project box from retreat and got it mostly unpacked. I made this top at retreat (yikes...my phone could NOT focus in on these colors!!):

but it doesn’t do me any good without a backing, so that’s what I started to work on…..unfortunately my quilting started in again with the thread breaks….so I had to babysit that for the rest of the afternoon…but by a late dinner, it was done:

I did get to watch the 2021 Christmas Special from CALL THE MIDWIFE…..my goodness!!! Could they have packed any more into that episode?!?! I was laughing and crying…truly…..this show is AWESOME!!! I didn’t erase it….I think I have to wait a week or 2 and watch it again…too much stuff to process.

Michael ordered a PAPA JOHN’s pizza for our last test….neither one of us was really looking forward to it (we think Dominos and Papa John’s are the worst), but wanted to give them a fair shot. They definitely made an excellent showing on the ‘’toppings out to the edge’’ scale:

then we took the first bite….Holey Moley!!! We looked at each other….shocked!!! It was pretty darn good!!! We each gobbled up 2 pieces before settling in to watch TV. We never did end up rating it…something to do tomorrow :~).
