Ok….this is for Arizona Mary….I set out EIGHT eggs on Friday morning (10/8) for some baking I plan to do. Additionally I needed one for my breakfast (made extra smurfy by my honey with the addition of BACON):

and 2 for Michael….that’s why we always keep 4 – 6 dozen in the fridge…ya never know when I’ll run through a bunch!) I left them to come to room temperature and made my tea, then got out my blog.

By then I was ready to tackle my quilt:

So….whatddaya think? Did I pick a good quilting pattern? I worked on that all day….and by 4 PM, it was done:

I also managed to get the binding pressed and ready to go:

Michael and I got cleaned up and headed over to our neighbor's house. Kay and Pete:

have been cooking for DAYS…..

and they invited all of the neighbors over:

-Phil & Pete

-Judy, Mike, Howard

-Dee & Michael

-Joann & Evelyn

-Ginny, Ann Mary, Kay

-Ken, Jim

-Jim & Joe

Everything was terrific….we haven’t had a large gathering like that in far too long…it was wonderful to see and talk to everyone.

Michael had to leave just after 6 PM (for rehearsal) and I was home before 8 PM. I read for a bit before settling in with my knitting, while watching TV.

*** Not to brag or anything, but I got the high score on my scale today. ***

That quilt pattern was probably mesmerizing to watch quilt out. Looks nice.
