Quilting started on QoV #1

I had a busy morning on Saturday (7/30)...Michael left for golf at 8 am and first up for me was hand washing a dishwasher full of dishes. When we ran it a few days ago, it stopped midway with a drainage error. We managed to fix that and finish the cycle...but when we ran it again last night, we got the same error and nothing would get it going....so we’ve called a repair guy.

Next up was a couple of loads of laundry...Cookie has had an upset tummy for a couple of days...and her bedding took a hit over night. While that was washing, I just sat with my baby and stroked her…..when I was sorting out her bedding, I found what I thought was part of a tooth…and when I finally got a look in her mouth, I could see where it had broken off :~(. She seemed to want to stay close and snuggle, so that’s what we did. I found some pills we had picked up previously for her, and determined they were for intestinal upsets, so once I got one of those down her (with several pieces of salami…and some peanut butter…and picking up the spit out pill and shoving it back in her mouth!) and took her out, and having a nice chat with Inez (2 weeks behind me in the healing….but way ahead in how she is getting going!) I finally headed downstairs around NOON…leaving Cookie sleeping on the back of my chair.

I got my blog out, then dropped back to longarmming. Thank goodness I have cheat sheets….I can’t believe how much knowledge I’ve lost after not doing it for 5 weeks! But, eventually I got my program set up and kicked off the quilting:

And I had time to get the borders on 2 sides of my Blues #2 quilt before stopping for dinner.

I ended up having yoghurt and fruit for dinner, while Michael had spaghetti, then we settled in with popcorn to watch DESPICABLE ME for date night.
