I was finally back in my studio on Tuesday (10/26) and ready to sew just after 10 AM. First up was putting another border on the second (and final side) of a single bed sized quilt. BG, remember this one? It took 2 years of sewing at your house before it was finally ready to come home with me...I LOVE that feather fabric:
After that I was anxious to get my 108’’ wide backing cut, and get my quilt loaded on XENA. It took longer than I anticipated, but finally it was done:
I’m really struggling with what quilting pattern to put on this quilt…and what color thread to use.
Today the crab truck was at SCCL, so we had crab sandwiches for dinner before Michael left for rehearsal and I made an attempt to layout one column of my totally HST’s quilt:
*** I like to play this game called ‘’nap roulette’’. It’s when I take a nap, but I don’t set an alarm. Will it be 30 minutes…4 hours…tomorrow? Nobody knows. ***
The bargello looks gorgeous ! Love those fan leaves too. My bargello is done at the quilters, and I'm holding my breath to see it. I agree, very difficult to come up with a quilting design. I selected a 'wave', similar to what you did on your squiggles, but it's the whole length of the quilt. Not sure if it will be too busy. Good luck !
Can't wait to see the red, black, gray and white when it's done !!!
Do you have a variegated thread in those colors - that would be really fun (depending on the backing), or when in doubt I use a nice medium gray - plays well with everyone!
