Michael made me breakfast Satuday morning (4/23) as his tee time wasn’t until 1:30 PM. I jumped back into quilting, and by 2 PM, the first customer quilt was done:
She picked a funky monkey design:
as she had monkeys in the top:
and all over the backing:
I really wanted to finish off chandelier #2 to see if I was going to need borders on it….so that was what I sewed on next…I made good progress:
but didn’t quite finish it before having a nice, long talk with Mary Lee.
By the time we finished it was around 6:30 PM and my honey and I were both hungry, so we headed upstairs and I had a salad with chicken and cheese, while Michael had tortellinis and sauce. We finished off our evening with 3 more episodes of MRS MAISEL.

I spent the entire morning on Sunday (4/24) out on the lanair enjoying the beautiful weather, blue sky and the sound of our chimes. Lucy and Cookie were there, and eventually Ethel came out as well:
I finally roused myself to head downstairs in the early afternoon as Michael and Cookie left for a walk. First up was getting my customer quilt cleaned up with the basting ripped out and bobbin ends woven in and off of the frame.
Then I got back to #2 chandelier and got the top sewn together…and then the final seam done:
Michael and Cookie joined me for a bit....HEY - Arizona Mary....everyone loves your shawl:
I had a lot of the picked chicken left from the rotisserie chicken last week, so I made a wine-y gravy to heat it up in, and served it with broccoli and a few scalloped potatoes for Michael.
*** I ate too much salad on the weekend, so I’m going on an Oreo cleanse today. ***
Aw sooo cute.
