SHQ Show & Tell 12/7/23

I was up at o’dark hundred Thursday morning (12/7) for an early morning doctor’s appointment in Ballentyne, before hitting BISCUITVILLE for biscuits and gravy on my way to quilting. I took my knitting with me today…and got to move around the room, sitting and talking and knitting with different groups of people….it was a very pleasant day with nice show and tell:

-this was part of a challenge....the topic was ''Life is better with...'' and the 'answer' couldn't be quilting

I was home around 2 PM and had to complete a bunch of paperwork before I got 3 runs of homemade Bailey's made for the tea:

and also finally got a chai mix put togther before turning my attention to dinner. Janice and Dennis showed up around 4 PM and we talked for a bit as I chopped up the leftover turkey (frozen from Thanksgiving) and dumped it in the crockpot. We sat down to turkey/barley soup (I think everyone had seconds) and after we cleared the table, we spent the rest of the evening playing SCREWED….and laughing!

I know, I know...I went a little crazy with Advent calendars this year....but who knew all of these very fun options existed??? We have one last one....Mark (Diane's hubby) has been having some medical issues and finally completed a grueling treatment. We wanted to acknowledge that...and since Mark is from Scotland, we got him an Advent calendar of Walker Shortbread:

We got it to him a bit late....but I think he got all caught up on Thursday :~).

And I missed posting BG's day six gift:

She's visiting family in Philly now.....home Sunday so she'll have a bunch to open on Monday...
