Thursday (8/27) was quilting…Michael packed the car and I headed out. I had a much more productive day today than last week….although there was still plenty of talking and laughing. I finished my ‘’Thursday project” this week (I cut out one project and work on that same project every Thursday until it is done. It has saved so much hassle on Thursday mornings…I no longer run around trying to figure out what to take). It’s a simple quilt top with that gorgeous Kaffe fabric I bought while visiting Arizona Mary earlier this year:

We had wonderful show and tell:

and when I got home around 3 PM, I got a blog entry out, and then started to quilt on my disappearing hour glass quilt (made earlier this year at QUAP!) I thought Sara’s round quilt that I just finished looked very nice with white thread….so I decided to use that color as well:

Freya had a vet appointment Friday morning (8/28), after which we dropped her off at home, made a quick stop at Hobby Lobby (and saw Robin from Scrap Happy….so that was fun!) and were home by NOON.

Michael made me a SMURFY grilled cheese sandwich, with blackberries:

and I went back to quilting on my disappearing hourglass quilt. By 4 PM it was all done, and I left 1 inch of space:

then loaded up the Connections quilt:

and set up the program for that. I got one pass done before stopping for salads for dinner and a game of cribbage (I actually won for once!) and TV watching.

Michael left early Saturday (8/29) for a Mustang show at the Concord Speedway. It included a ride along with a Mustang Dark Horse, 600 horse power, massively fast, driving on an obstacle course. He was wearing a helmet and was thrown back and forth in the car…he said the obstacle course was like the one WE BOTH DROVE at the Mustang School we attended several years ago…but of course this driver drove like a maniac and VERY fast!!!

There were also Mustang drag races and Mustang drift races and more Mustangs on display than he could even estimate….he had a wonderful time!

I headed to the studio to continue quilting on Connections, and to start binding on the rainbow 4 patch:

I worked on those all day, as Michael did not get home until after 4 PM, and got my quilting on Connections all done:

Michael left at 7:30 for an 8 AM tee time on Sunday (8/30) and I spent the day in the studio once again. First up was getting my 2 quilts all cleaned up, off of XENA, trimmed and on the to-be-bound pile:

Of course, I do not have any bindings made for these 2 quilts….so that needs to happen before anything else can be done to them.

I had a lovely and long talk with Mary Lee for part of the day….I was SHOCKED when she said we had been talking for 2 hours….it seemed to FLY BY!!!

Next was loading up a quilt for Pam S:

but that was all I got done before concentrating on binding once again:

Michael got home from golfing just after 2 PM and said he had a decent round, while I continued to sew. Finally, around 5 PM, I had a totally finished quilt once again....my first (and my last!!!!) crumb quilt:
