SHQ Show & Tell 4/14/22

Michael left early for golf while I SKYPE’d with Janice Wednesday morning (4/13), then headed across the street for my massage (heaven) before heading to the movies to pick up Michael’s phone (it fell out of his pocket Tuesday night).


I had a quick lunch at home before heading to the studio to get Paula’s quilt basted:



I paused after that to do intake on 2 more customer quilts, then started SKYPE-ing with BG. I had a quick dinner before heading downstairs again to make a start on Paula’s quilting:



before joining my honey around 9 PM for a bit of TV.

Thursday (4/14) was a very full, but very relaxing day…I spent the morning and early afternoon at quilting…lovely show and tell:











and headed out after that to my appointment with the diabetes coach.


He was absolutely thrilled that I have lost 10 pounds in 2-1/2 weeks without even exercising! He was more thrilled when he looked at my fasting blood sugar numbers, definitely trending downwards. We talked about many things…but one of the things I bought up was that, although I have that colonoscopy/endoscopy/camera thing scheduled for the end of May….I was hoping to cancel it if my iron numbers are better during my upcoming blood work at the beginning of May. He said ‘’I would not recommend cancelling that at all’'. When I asked why, we continued to go over my lab results and he indicated that they had found blood in my stool :~(. He said it could be the result of something simple, or it could not, but I should definitely get it checked out. The good news is….my 3 week elimination diet is over on Saturday…so I said ‘’I’ve been thinking….cheese, alcohol, grains….I think of those 3, I would like to add cheese back in first’’ and he said ‘’that’s exactly what I was thinking’’! So, I get to slowly add small amounts of cheese back in….YAY!!


I got home around 4:30 and Michael and I sat out on the lanair and talked and read our books for quite awhile, and everyone joined us:





It was SO LOVELY that when we made dinner…we ate out there as well!


We did a bit more reading after that, and finally watched a bit of TV around 9 PM before bed.
