Quilting was WONDERFUL on Thursday (8/18)…I finished up my blocks for a BLUES chandelier quilt….soon to be laid out on the design wall, and I got my striped fabric cut:
ready to start my blocks next week.
As always, show and tell was great:
-these are 3 string quilts, all made with exactly the same block...just different block layouts:
-several people had finished table runners from our quick demo a week or so ago:
But the highlight of the day was definitely giving out a Quilt of Valor to one of my PT therapists:
I got home after 2 PM and putzed in my sewing room for a bit before finishing up one of my library books. I needed a break from suspense after that last one, so I read a memoir by Ruth Reichl called SAVE ME THE PLUMS: MY GOURMET MEMOIR. Ruth was editor in chief of GOURMET magazine for 10 years, and even though I was more of a Bon Appetit gal….this book was a great read!
Michael and I had leftovers for dinner before he left for rehearsal. I started to put binding on another quilt, but since I forgot to ask my honey to unload the car after quilting….I couldn’t finish the binding as all of my tools were still in the trunk :~).:
-my baby Cookie came out to the kitchen to join me again:
So, I dropped back to knitting on my scarf until my honey came home.
*** Finally figured out the reason why I look so bad in pictures….it’s my face. ***
you look great ! RE: your quip... I feel the same when I go for a haircut !
…..….and I saw her face, now I’m a believer !
Great picture of you, you look great
