SHQ Show & Tell 8/26/21

I had PT at 8 AM Thursday morning (8/26) then hurried home so that Michael could drop me off at quilting. I had a wonderful time and we had OUTSTANDING show and tell:

Paula brought me home at the end and Linda stopped by after quilting:

and we polished off the last of the raspberry squares…which made me very happy! Why? Because I am HOT-HOT-HOT to make them again. Next with apricot jam and maybe the merest hint of cinnamon….then again with raspberry jam, with some chocolate chips sprinkled over top…then again trying to reduce the sugar and butter just a tad. I can’t wait!

So…it took me an hour and a half to get through all of my emails and get my blog out…and by then my eyes were aching….so I took a little nap :~).

It has been FOREVER since I’ve cut fabric and been piecing, (too much quilting and binding going on) so that is what I spent the rest of the day doing. I’ve found a new picture and I’m going to call it the ‘Squiggle Quilt’. I spent a bit of time the other day trying to figure out the pattern, so today I got started cutting for all of my half square triangles.

Michael and I finished off the crab salad for dinner, and I had another long talk after dinner with my friend Mary Lee. Her mom died on Tuesday evening and it has been a very rough couple of days for her…I am grateful that she feels like she can lean on me and that we have time to talk and process things. I headed upstairs around 9 PM to snuggle with my honey and watch TV.
