Current COVID related deaths: 662,873
COVID deaths yesterday: 659,927
Another HUGE jump....I think even larger than anything that happened last year when the pandemic was supposedly at its height :~(.
***************************************
I was up and out on Thursday (9/2) for quilting at Scrap Happy. We had a wonderful group and as always, great show and tell:
-I love June's quilt and wanted to make it....until she sent me the directions and I said ''oh no...too much work!!''
-this next quilt was WAY prettier than it shows in the picture....
I headed to PT immediately after quilting, and after stopping for peach milkshakes at Chic-fil-a, was home by 2:30. I got through all of my emails before getting the ‘wolf’ quilt off of the frame. We were talking with Kevin & Angie before they left (cleaning people) and Kevin mentioned something about fixing a drawer. I've had a broken drawer in my dresser forever....so Kevin showed Michael how to fix it. Of course the kitties were faceinated by a new space to explore:
By then Mary Lee and I were texting about a variety of things and she finally just called me and we talked and talked and talked! It really seems like we never run out of things to talk about :~). We finished up after over an hour (I think) and I went to delete several emails before heading upstairs for dinner. I had another pleasant surprise when Laure Dickson and I started PM’ing, and eventually we started talking on the phone! Another long conversation ensued…it was WONDERFUL to hear from her and I really hope COVID dies down somewhat over the coming months so that I might consider a visit to Connecticut in February.
By the time we were done it was 7:30 PM, so Michael and I just heated up the leftover pizza for dinner and settled in to watch another British Baking Show.
*** If showing up in a robe and tiara with a box of wine is wrong, then maybe I don’t fully comprehend how Casual Friday actually works. ***
