My honey made me breakfast and packed the car so I could leave early for quilting on Thursday (9/22). I wanted to stop at CVS to pick up a presecription on the way….so of course…since I left super early…there was no one in line! I sailed through and got to Scrap Happy around 9:05, in time to do set-up.
Luckily there were already people there who had opened the Fellowship Hall, so we got set up lickety-split and I settled down to sew. I think I had 5 different things in my pizza box to work on...and I got just 1 mostly done. That’s ok…that means I don’t have to worry about having projects for Thursday quilting for quite awhile :~). Paula mentioned that she did the same thing...had lots to work on....didn't get to at least half of it! We had wonderful show and tell:
-this is a strips and curves quilt, but Judy has so much going on in it that you have to look really closely to see the curves. The easiest is the black and white circle pretty much in the middle
-since we are currently doing a mystery quilt at Thursday quilting, Loree brought in her previous mystery quilt, which resides on her bed. This is a queen sized quilt and Loree said she will never do another one :~)
-Sandy's giving away lots of Pfaltzgraff plates, as well as accompanying serving pieces
I got home just after 2 PM.
Once again I did a bit of paperwork before cutting batting and loading and basting my customer quilt:
By then it was dinnertime and we decided to get Chinese and settle in for the night.
*** Every time I fold laundry...I contemplate becoming a nudist.
Then I remember what I look like naked and I keep folding. ***
Did u do edge to edge on customer quilt? I had that pfaltzgraff set many years ago and they discontined it shortly after i started collecting. I was so mad that i never bought pfaltzgraff again. Lol
Is your customer quilt a memory quilt or a wedding quilt?
